Ice cream is and will always be my favorite food. So, when Turkey Hill reached out to see if I wanted to collaborate on a recipe showcasing their all natural new ice cream, I was all in.
And what’s better than an ice cream sundae on top of delicious brownies?
Okay, so let me tell you more about this ice cream...then more about these delicious gooey
brownies. This is Turkey Hill’s All Natural Ice Cream line made with the simplest of ingredients like milk, cream, sugar, and natural flavors...that means no fake colors, artificial flavoring, and no stabilizers. I mean...that’s all we really want in ice cream, am I right? And there are 20 different flavors, but who can resist a salted caramel. Not me.
Important question...are you a car-a-mel person or a car-mul person? Very important to know. Comment below.
Back to the ice cream. There is a sample tour as well, where Turkey Hill is going around and sampling ICE CREAM. That’s the dream. If you want to know if they are coming to your town check it out there: https://www.turkeyhill.com/events/good-mooed-tour.
What better way to enjoy ice cream than to top it on a delicious warm ooey gooey brownie? So, I made this recipe for you so that you don’t have to use a box! Which are usually my favorite kind of brownie...but man, these are stinking delicious. They are dense, non-cakey, melty chocolate brownies. They’re delicious, easy, and tasty!
If you try them out, feel free to add more chocolate chips, caramel pieces, nuts, etc. But they’re perfect the way they are! And let me know your thoughts
1 cup butter, cubed
2 TBSP grapeseed oil (olive or canola is fine)
1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 TBSP vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup chocolate chips
Optional: other add-ins like caramel chips, nuts, etc.
Place butter in a pan or microwave and melt. Then remove and let cool.
Preheat oven to 350° F. Prepare a 8x12 or 8x8 inch pan (8x8 will take a bit more time to cook, but thicker brownies) with spray oil and parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl combine butter, oil with a whisk. Slowly whisk in sugars. Then add eggs and vanilla until thoroughly mixed. Whisk for another 20 seconds just to ensure eggs are incorporated.
Sift in the flour, then the cocoa, then add salt. Using a rubber spatula mix the batter until just combined. Be sure to not over mix. Add in chocolate chips and/or other mix-ins.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth across the entire pan. Bake for 23-25 minutes in the 8x12 or 26-28 in the 8x8. Be sure to do the jiggle test on the brownies. If they still jiggle, give them another minute or so to cook.
Let cool, cut, and serve with Turkey Hill All Natural ice cream and sprinkles! Enjoy!
