guacamole.

It’s getting closer to avocado season, so I just want to prep you all with my favorite guacamole recipe. You can serve this on top of smashed potatoes, taco bowls, with tortilla chips or whatever tickles your fancy. Customize it as you will!

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados

  • 1-2 limes (I like mine real limey)

  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro (chopped finely)

  • ½ of a fresh jalapeño (more if you like it spicy)

  • salt and pepper to taste (seasonings, not the band)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt

  • ¼ teaspoon Cayenne

  • ½ teaspoon chili powder

  1. Peel and cut avocados off the seed. BE CAREFUL. Look here if you have questions on how to do it properly and get more nutrients.

  2. Cut limes into quarters and squeeze out the juice to cover those avocados. 

  3. Use a potato masher (or two butter knifes) to smash the avocados into a smoother mixture.

  4. Chop up cilantro, jalapeños, and onions finely (or chunky if you like that better. You do you.) I dispose of the jalapenos seeds, however if you want your mouth to catch on fire, keep them in there.

  5. Dump your chopped ingredients and seasonings into the avocado bowl. Mix well with a spoon.

  6. Enjoy!
